I know its sounds like a place on Mars, but surprisingly, its one of the most beautiful beaches of the North Sea in Atlantic Ocean.
Located just on the ourskirts of South Shields, United Kingdom, Marsden Beach is a hidden gem on the north-west of Lizard Point. It has a coastal section and a golden sandy beach. Best known for the breath taking rock formations, which include a number of sea stacks and rock arches.
Things to do;
Have a nice walk along the coast, enjoy the view with seagulls on the rocks and cold breeze.
A walk around the Souter Lighthouse with attached restaurant.
Marsden Grotto – This is a spectacular hotel & restaurant carved out of one of the rocks on the beach. You can go down via an elevator within the rock. The elevator opens in the lobby of the hotel. Tourists can book a room for few nights or if you live locally, you can just have a nice drink or coffee on the deck and enjoy the view.
